Manning Infrastructure Consulting ltd was formed in December 2020 with the primary aim of providing independently-minded yet collaborative project support, leaving a positive legacy for clients and communities. By combining total sustainable value and digital approaches, Manning seeks to effectively leverage project contributions to achieve wide-ranging beneficial outcomes.

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer with a keen interest in projects which embed environmental & social value whilst delivering innovative solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Throughout my career I have been fortunate to gain a diverse variety of experience across the infrastructure and buildings sectors in multiple countries. This has ranged from urban regeneration and residential site development, particularly flood risk assessment, drainage, utilities and water management consulting, to multi-disciplinary design management of rail, civil, buildings and environmental teams.

Experience shows that business-as-usual approaches to providing infrastructure services are not sufficient to address the growing climate, biodiversity and inequality challenges facing society. Planetary systems such as nutrient, water and carbon balances are heavily influenced by the built environment. Innovative infrastructure systems are needed to underpin a sustainable society, supported by natural capital and regenerative land use, all of which will be crucial in the coming decades. I see this as both a complex challenge and an exciting business opportunity, requiring multi-disciplinary collaboration across various sectors to implement holistic solutions.
